Govt approves RERA formation

The bill was originally meant to regularise the national property marketplace, but its jurisdiction was later reduced to include the ICT only.

Meanwhile, The National Counter Terrorism Authority Bill seeks to ‘devise a counterterrorism strategy that should address short, medium and long-term goals and devise action plans for their implementation’.

Govt to establish RERA for settling property disputes

Moreover, two other private member bills called ‘The Torture and Custodial Death (Prevention and Punishment) Act 2020’ and ‘The Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (Amendment) Bill, 2020’ were also referred to the committees concerned of the upper house.

The Torture and Custodial Death (Prevention and Punishment) Bill 2020 seeks to take steps for the prevention of custodial deaths and award strict punishments to the perpetrators.
