More than 30 government institutes and departments closed to the public.

Gujranwala: The government has stopped the entry of the general public to nearly 30 government institutes and departments as a precautionary measure against coronavirus, a news source reported. According to details, the Registry branch, Land record centers, and municipal departments are completely closed.

Reportedly, the government – with a view to protecting officials and employees – has restricted the public from entering several government offices. The move is expected to cause delays in a number of welfare projects. Furthermore, the government has also restricted the movements of its officials and staff for their protection.

Other departments closed include Metropolitan Corporation, water, and sanitation agency, Gujranwala Development Authority (GDA), Gujranwala Electric Power Company, Sui Gas, Education, Highways, and district administration.
