PKR 1.59 billion pending in FDA City dues.

Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) City’s administration recently announced its decision to cancel the plot allotments of thousands of individuals who collectively owe the authority a total of PKR 1.59 billion in dues accrued over the past 16 years — a news source reported. As per the publication, the housing authority will now hold a new auction for the plot allottees who fail to pay their dues within the designated time.

Computerized Record system inaugurated in FDA City

In the initial stages, a notice regarding the matter had been sent to all the defaulters and was also published in a major newspaper. It stated that if the defaulters failed to clear their dues in the stipulated time period, then their names would be published in the media. Following this, their allocations would also be canceled and their plots would be auctioned again.

The dues include installments, developmental charges, and conversion fees. The new FDA Director-General has issued strict directions to implement the plan for recovery of dues. He stated that after the passage of 16 years, no further leniency should be shown to the defaulters and if they did not clear their dues then their plots would be auctioned off.
