Low-cost housing scheme for Hyderabad approved.

Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Development Authority (HDA) has granted its approval to the development of low-cost housing units for the city’s homeless in the proposed Kohsar Extension Housing Scheme, a news source reported. This sanction was issued during a meeting of the authority’s governing body on Saturday.

The approved housing scheme will feature 1- and 2-bedroom units on an easy installment plan. The meeting members were briefed that the HDA will construct affordable housing units on empty plots in Kohsar Extension Housing Scheme.

Income Tax on low-cost housing schemes reduced by 50%

The houses will be offered to the deserving of the booking amount varying between PKR 20,000 to 25,000 bookings, while the monthly installment will be set at PKR 15,000. As per the information, the total cost of a 1-bed room unit is expected to be set at PKR 700,000, while that of a 2-bed house will be PKR 1,100,000.

The governing body also approved updating ownership details in the revenue record of the Gulistan Sarmast Housing Scheme. Moreover, the meeting members also shared several suggestions on acquiring land for setting up affordable housing schemes in the city, which the board approved.
