Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) has initiated a campaign against the city’s developers, property owners, and other individuals found to have defaulted on paying its prescribed dues – a news source reported.

FDA Director General (DG) Muhammad Suhail Khawaja revealed this information during a meeting of the authority. He reviewed the arrears pertaining to the defaulters and directed the FDA officers to launch a campaign against all defaulters without discrimination.

Khawaja opined that they could not enhance the financial position of the development authority without recovering these dues. He added that the officers concerned should send notices to defaulting developers and allottees in different housing societies operating under the FDA framework; asking them to pay their dues without further delays.

The FDA DG directed the officials to cancel the allotment of plots in societies found defaulting on their payments. He also asked the Revenue Section officers to submit a daily report regarding the recovery pace. He added that the FDA management would not tolerate poor performance on this front.
