Transport stand managers directed to implement the Clean & Green Program.

Faisalabad: Regional Transport Authority (RTA) Secretary Zameer Hussain has instructed the transport stand managers deployed in the city to implement the government’s Clean & Green Program, a news source reported. He further said that commuters should be provided with all the necessary facilities at the transport stands.

During his visit to the city’s various public transport stands, the secretary expressed his concern over the unhygienic conditions at these places. He said that under the Clean & Green Program, it was mandatory for the managers to ensure cleanliness at the stands.

Hussain opined that a clean environment was necessary for public health; particularly for those who used transport stands and public transport for commute purposes. He also directed the managers to ensure the continuous availability of potable water for travelers.

The secretary also ordered the management to plant the maximum number of saplings around their stands. He said that this effort would count as their contribution to the Clean & Green Program.
