NA approves University of Islamabad development.
Islamabad: The National Assembly (NA) on Wednesday provided its sanction to a proposal to establish the University of Islamabad educational facility in the capital, a news source reported. As per the publication, the lower house made this decision following the presentation of ‘The University of Islamabad Bill 2019’ by Parliamentary Secretary for Education and Professional Training, National History and Literary Heritage Wajiha Akram.

The University of Islamabad is a project of the Foundation for Advancement of Innovation, Research and Education (FAIRE), which is registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) as a non-profit organization for founding a university at Bahria Golf City, Murree Expressway, Islamabad.

The university shall be open to all persons no matter which ‘gender, religion, race, creed, class, color, or domicile’ they belong to, and is expected to provide education in such branches of knowledge as it may deem fit in accordance with the criteria of the professional accreditation councils.
