The civic agency itself is presently probing two high-profile cases involving illegal plot transfers in Sector D-13 and backdated allotments. CDA spokesperson Syed Safdar Ali said that the agency had referred the case to FIA last month on its own violation, and is fully cooperating in the investigation.

He said that the incumbent CDA management is striving to eliminate black sheep from the department and that the authority’s security directorate has trumped several attempts to allot plots based on bogus documentation.

CDA has been executing a drive against fictitious allotments in Sector I-11 and I-12 in backdates for a while now and has been dismissing officials involved in these illicit dealings.
