FDA for regularising illegal housing societies.
Faisalabad: The Faisalabad Development Authority (FDA) Director General (DG) recently proclaimed that it was the agency’s top priority to regularise illegal housing schemes in Faisalabad, develop and populate FDA City, and to take action against defaulters — a news source reported.

He further revealed that the electrification in FDA City would be completed during this year, which would increase the habitability of the project so that more families would be able to move there.
He also noted that only 113 of the total 615 housing schemes in Faisalabad could be considered legal. He stated that effective steps would have to be taken to legalize these housing societies; strategies for which were still under consideration.

To stop the launch of unapproved housing societies, the agency has formulated new mechanisms for the registration of developers in the city. In the future, only registered developers will be able to launch a housing scheme in the area.
