Islamabad: A Pakistan Turkey Business Investment Forum, organized by the Board of Investment (BoI) and aimed at promoting bilateral investments between the two countries, is currently underway in the capital – according to news sources.

Pakistan signs two economic engagement MOUs with Turkey

BoI officials have confirmed that business-to-business (B2B) discussions were initiated on Thursday (February 13) – with subsequent panel meetings having taken place today.

As per a prior board intimation, the first session of these meetings is to focus on ‘Investment opportunities in Pakistan’, followed by a discussion on the investment experience of Turkish companies in the country. The final session of the panel meetings will be addressed by the Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan and Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan.

Pakistan, Egypt to increase bilateral trade in construction, other sectors

The BoI officials have expressed hope that the Turkish president’s visit will strengthen Pakistan Turkey trade ties and economic cooperation.

The Turkish premier has reportedly come accompanied by over 60 Turkish businessmen and investors on his trip to Pakistan. Currently, Pakistan and Turkey’s trade volume stands at USD 900 million.
