ISLAMABAD: The federal government raised 156.45 million rupees on Monday by ceding abandoned properties in Islamabad against the reserve price of 140.525 million rupees.
Prime Minister Imran Khan has entrusted the Privatization Commission with the auctioning of abandoned federal government properties.
In the first phase of the auction held on Monday, five government-owned properties, including two penthouses at Islamabad Country Club, two apartments, one at Centaurus Mall, and others located at Pakistan Housing Authority apartments were sold.
The land auction at Pir Sohawa generated the most interest, with investors increasing their bid until the final call.
The next phase of the auction will start in Lahore on September 9, followed by Gujranwala on September 11, Faisalabad on September 14, Multan on September 16, Rahimyar Khan in September 18, Nawabshah on September 21, and Abbottabad on September 25. advisers and was overseen by the auction committee made up of senior ministry officials and privatization minister Mohammedmian Soomro.
