Karachi to feature 40-storey buildings: ABAD

KARACHI: ABAD (The Association of Builders & Developers of Pakistan) on Friday announced that the project of 40-story high-rise buildings will be starting in Karachi soon.

With effecting to this statement, it is reported that the private builders were ready to launch high-rise projects in Karachi as part of the 1,000 housing projects under the recently announced construction relief package.

ABAD Chairman Hasan Bakshi said that Karachi would soon witness the inauguration of construction procedure on around 30-40 high rise buildings and each unit would be consisting of 30 floors.

Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan stated that around 13 builders had the opportunity to invest PKR 1.37 trillion for the construction of 100.000 housing cells under PM’s Neya Pakistan Housing Programme initiative.

“The construction process on these projects would likely to start during the next three-four months”, Said PM.

In the meantime, the ABAD chairman stated that the builders are supposed to generate and present the grey-structure of the high-rise building of the Projects by the end of September 2020. He also informed that the FBR has already registered 40-50 builders and developers under the construction package which is announced by the executive. An estimated 5,000 builders and developers had also requested for the registration under the PM’s Scheme.
