The Dhabeji SEZ project is aimed at boosting Sindh’s economy by accelerating development and economic enterprise, and by creating a large number of skilled and unskilled jobs.

The CM further highlighted the key issues affecting the project, including the transfer of land, construction of connecting roads, provision of electricity, water, and gas, and the cancellation of mining leases. Secretary Investment Najam Shah stated that international tenders for the development of the Dhabeji SEZ had been floated and would be opened on April 20.

CM Shah also issued directives for establishing seamless connectivity from Port Qasim to the Dhabeji SEZ, and for the construction of a pumping station to provide water to the area. Once the connecting roads are developed, it will facilitate the installation of water lines and the supply of electricity.
