KP CM inaugurates uplift schemes in DI Khan.
Dera Ismail Khan: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Mahmood Khan on Thursday said that the 380-kilometer-long Peshawar Dera Ismail (DI) Khan Expressway would uplift the southern districts of KP and promote prosperity and development in the region, a news source reported. He expressed his views on the matter during a visit to Dera Ismail (DI) Khan to inaugurate several development projects.
KP to develop agriculture, industrial projects in DI Khan
Federal Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, Member National Assembly (MNA) Yaqoob Sheikh, as well as several local government representatives, accompanied the chief minister, who inaugurated the construction work of the Agriculture University, Dera Ismail Khan and Gomal University Paharpur Campus.

Moreover, he inaugurated the office buildings and departments of district compound Darzinda, which would be completed at an estimated cost of PKR 31.982 million. He also opened work on a food street (expected to cost of PKR 68.80 million) and Nakhlistan Kashmir Park (expected to the cost of PKR 34.370 million).

The chief minister also laid the foundation stone of four Rescue 1122 centers, expected to cost PKR 144.236 million, and opened the newly-constructed sports hostels at Dera Ismail Sports Complex.

CM Mahmood visited the Arid Zone Research Centre – a Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) project with an estimated cost of PKR 691.56 million and was told that 75 percent of work had been completed.
Realistic deadlines set for KP’s development projects
He said that the Chashma Right Bank Canal Project (CRBC), a segment of the Chine-Pakistan Economic Corridor, was expected to cost PKR 120bn. Its completion would enhance the agricultural produce and make the southern districts self-sufficient, he added.
KP CM orders timely completion of infrastructure projects
Further, he said that a gas pipeline worth PKR 9bn for Karak, Kohat, and Hangu districts was under construction, whose completion would resolve the low gas pressure problem in Dera Ismail Khan as well. The Jandola Road would be completed soon, he further stated.
