CM Punjab approves four mega projects for Lahore.

Lahore: According to the news sources, the Chief Minister of Punjab Sardar Usman Buzdar has approved four mega projects in Lahore.

The cabinet committee for finance has approved the funds amounting to Rs. 12 billion for Lahore Development Authority’s (LDA) four mega projects.

As per the reports, the LDA has been given a go-ahead for funds for four mega projects in the current year. Director General LDA Ahmed Aziz Tarar gave the briefing to the cabinet committee on the projects. These projects include Gulab Devi Underpass, Shahkam Flyover, Karim Block Flyover & Underpass, and Sheranwala Gate Flyover. The funds have been approved for these four projects.

The estimate for Gulab Devi underpass amounts to Rs. 95 crores, while Karim Block Flyover & Underpass has been estimated to complete at Rs. 2 billion 20 crores. The total estimate for Shahkam Flyover is at Rs. 3 billion 86 crores, and Sheranwala Gate Flyover has been estimated at a cost of 4.5 billion rupees. The cabinet committee also discussed the possibility of utilizing the amount of Orange Line Deposit funds. The reports suggest that LDA has the deposit funds of Orange Line worth 10 billion rupees.

The second option of funding is the Punjab Government’s direct funding to LDA. The work on these projects will start after the allocation of funds.
