MoU signed to promote trade between Pakistan and Australia.
Peshawar: The Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) recently signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Pakistan and Australia Chamber (APC) to promote bilateral trade, facilitate the exchange of business delegations, and to profit from their mutual experiences, according to news sources.
The Sarhad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and the Australia Pakistan Chamber (APC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to strengthen bilateral trade relations, exchange of business delegations and take full benefits from each other experiences.
The agreement was signed by SCCI President Engr Maqsood Anwar Pervaiz and APC President Muhammad Asif during a ceremony held at Pakistan Consulate Office in Sydney, said a press release issued here on Thursday. SCCI President Engr Maqsood Anwar Pervaiz is currently on a visit to Australia.
Muhammad Ashraf, the Pakistani Consul General to Australia, Asadullah Jatoi, Trade Development Officer, Joint Secretary, Sarfaraz Aslam, Mohammed Abid, Treasurer, Rizwan Rana and Altaf Khan, members of the APC were present during the signing ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, Engr Maqsood Pervaiz said that the agreement between SCCI and APC was a landmark initiative, which would boost bilateral trade and strengthen economic relations between Pakistan and Australia. He thanked the APC for hosting luncheon ceremony and praised the cooperation of Pakistani consulate in bolstering mutual trade and economic ties between the two countries.
He hoped that the agreement between the two chambers would play an active role in taking full benefits from potentials in Pakistan and Australia as well as address common challenges being faced by the business community of the two countries. Earlier, Consul General of Pakistan Mohammad Ashraf in his address urged the Pakistani business community to actively seek opportunities in Australia and offered his services to promote the Pakistani businesses in the local market place.
He offered his full cooperation in building the business relationship between Pakistan and Australia. APC President Muhammad Asif highlighted the benefits of collaboration between the SCCI and the APC and vowed to further strengthen the relations between the two chambers.
He thanked Pakistan Consul General Mohammad Ashraf and Trade development Officer Asadullah Jatoi for hosting the event at Pakistan Consulate Office in Sydney. Later, Muhammad Asif and Engr Maqsood Anwar Pervaiz exchanged souvenirs.

The MoU was signed at a ceremony held at the Pakistan Consulate Office in Sydney. SCCI President Engineer Maqsood Anwar Pervaiz and APC President Muhammad Asif signed the document on behalf of their respective departments.
The SCCI president said that the agreement between the two entities was a landmark initiative, one that that would help strengthen trade and economic relations between the two countries. He also lauded the APC for their generous reception and praised the cooperation of the Pakistani consulate in facilitating the economic ties between Pakistan and Australia.

In addition, APC President Muhammad Asif highlighted the benefits of a collaboration between the two chambers and vowed to strengthen the bond further in the future.
