LDA invites pre-qualification bids for the construction of Shahkam Flyover.
Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) has granted approval to release funds for the construction of the Shahkam Flyover, a news source reported. In this regard, Chief Engineer LDA Habib ul Haqq Randhawa informed CA-category companies that they had till February 10 to submit their pre-qualification documents.
LDA to start issuing online building layout approvals this week
Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Buzdar had approved of the construction of the Shahkam Flyover, but the project suffered a delay for over two months due to a lack of funds.
LDA demolishes illegal structures in Gulberg, other areas
According to the Annual Development Programme (ADP), the construction of the flyover project will be started during the present fiscal year. Additionally, the project is expected to cost more than PKR 2.5 billion and includes the expansion of 8-Grade Chowk in its plans.

The Shahkam Flyover is expected to reduce traffic jams and give relief to the people in nearby areas.
