Lahore Karim Block to have an underpass facility.
Lahore: The Lahore Development Authority (LDA) Engineering Wing was awarded the National Engineering Services of Pakistan (NESPAK) a contract to prepare the feasibility report on the proposed construction of the Karim Block underpass — with the facility aimed at improving the traffic flow in the area, according to a news source. As per the publication, this information was shared during a recent meeting chaired by LDA Director General Sameer Ahmed Syed.
LDA to amend Private Housing Schemes Rules
During the meeting, the attendees were informed that NESPAK had already initiated the process to conduct a project feasibility report on linking the underpass project to either Karim Block or Wahdat Road. As per the plan, the underpass is expected to provide a direct link to the Canal Bank Road near Punjab University — with the project aimed at helping to fix the traffic situation in the area.
