Foundation stone laid for Nawan Killi bypass project.

Quetta: Chief Minister (CM) Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan Alyani officiated the ground-breaking ceremony of the Nawan Killi bypass project on Thursday, according to news sources. Addressing the ceremony, the CM assured that the government is striving to develop the province in its entirety – according to news sources.

Balochistan govt to develop infrastructure, promote tourism

CM Alyani was briefed that the 6-kilometer Nawan Killi bypass project would be completed with an estimated budget of PKR 346.706 million and is expected to be operationalized by June this year.

The CM expressed that the current haphazard development status of Balochistan was due to the uneven distribution of funds in the past when only some constituencies were provided with funds. He expressed his resolve to monitor and keep follow-ups on the development projects launched under his supervision, to ensure timely completions and the transparent utilization of funds.

Work underway on 250 km road network in Nasirabad, Balochistan

The CM said that the provincial authorities have already completed some 600 pending development projects initiated under the previous government. He also revealed the funds were now allocated to every single union council, tehsil, and district – after a careful assessment of the needs of each place.

Talking about the city’s road infrastructure, the CM announced that the Hanna Urak Highway will be converted into a two-way road soon. Moreover, the expansion of Joint Road, Sabzal Road, Sariab Road, and the Eastern and Western Bypasses would facilitate the citizens of Quetta.
