CDA initiates drive to clear Kashmir Highway RoW.

Islamabad: The Enforcement Directorate of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has initiated development work to secure the Right-of-Way (RoW) on both sides of Kashmir Highway; with the initiative aimed at increasing greenery and removing encroachments from the area, according to news sources.

CDA to install smart traffic signal system on Kashmir Highway

This project is being executed through the joint efforts of the CDA, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration, and the Metropolitan Corporation Islamabad (MCI). It is meant to increase the green character of the capital and secure the RoW, from GT Road intersection to Zero Point Interchange.

The land leveling work in this regard has been underway on both sides of the Kashmir Highway since Monday and will continue until the task is fully completed. The development work is being supervised by the Additional Deputy Commissioner, ICT, and Director Enforcement.

Meanwhile, the enforcement directorate has also conducted an anti-encroachment operation in the city and demolished nine illegal cattle farms, 200 kiosks, 50 sheds, and 10 selling points for vendors of sand, brick, and gravel.
