LAHORE - Staff of Town
Planning Wing of Lahore Development Authority has demolished a total of
four buildings and sealed other two during an operation against
illegal constructions on Wednesday.
The LDA staff demolished an under-construction building on plot No. 6 of
Ghee Corporation Society situated on Khyban-e-Jinnah because it was
being built in violation of the building plan approved by LDA. No
building plan had been got approved for Plot No. 47 of this society.
Therefore, the structure being constructed on this plot was also
demolished. Building constructed on plot No. 5 was sealed as it had also
been constructed in violation of the approved building plan.
In the PIA Housing Society, the LDA Staff demolished an under
construction building on residential plot No. 97-G as no building plan
had been got approved for it. Under construction buildings on Plot No.
133-B/I, was also demolished because of the same reason where as the
building completed on plot No. 17-F was sealed as no building plan had
been approved for this illegal commercial building.
The LDA staff also demolished temporary encroachments set up illegally in a park in front of Shahid Nihari in the same area.
During the ongoing anti-encroachments drive in the city, the staff of
the Estate Management Directorate Quaid-e-Azam Town, LDA, demolished as
many as 150 concrete platforms in Main Bazar Township. Five trucks load
of goods including counters and stalls were also confiscated at this
occasion.
