Investigation of illegal allotments kicks off, Source

ISLAMABAD - Under the direction of Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Farkhand Iqbal, the CDA’s investigation wing has started investigation against illegal allotment of land and kiosks.
The investigation team headed by DG Planning, Sarwar Sindhu and Member Planning, Aziz Qureshi raided on the offices of DMA, which were sealed under the direction of chairman CDA, and seized record of illegal allotment of plots and Kiosks and started investigation.
According to information, despite few senior officers, the DMA’s staffers remained missing during the snap checking of DMA’s record by the investigation team pertaining to illegal allotments while mobile phones of concerning staffers found switch off when contacted.
Deputy Director DMA said that the staffers of DMA were missing, as the DMA would submit its reply before the public account committee today regarding different issues.
INP adds: On the directives of the Capital Development Authority (CDA), Chairman Farkhand Iqbal, a scrutiny committee to oversee allotment record of various matters has been constituted. Farkhand Iqbal has formed a scrutiny committee comprising of member planning, director staff, and deputy director Municipal administration.
The committee would take view of the allotment record of some set up, advertising billboards and open areas in the federal capital.
Meanwhile, offices of the Deputy DG municipal administration Mansoor Ali Khan, deputy director and assistant director were reopened, which were sealed by the security staff on the instruction from the CDA chairman.
